SAFETY REMINDERS SPRING 2022

Paid spots on the infield will be $20 per car.  This entry fee gets your car, the driver and one passenger in the show on Saturday and Sunday.  YOU MUST HAVE YOUR DISPLAY TICKET FOR YOUR VEHICLE ON THE DASH OF THE CAR TO ENTER.  YOU MUST ALSO HAVE YOUR PASSES FOR EACH PERSON TO ENTER THE GATE.

So keep up with your passes – they cannot be replaced. We will hand out the weekend show passes on Saturday at our meeting location. Which is in front of the Drag Strip.

Paid entries will also allow you to park in your assigned area on Friday as well, at no additional charge.  I need to know as soon as possible how many Friday passes you will need for your club.  We will announce an arrival time for Friday at a later date.

Update 4/4/22: We plan to meet up in front of the Z-Max Drag Strip on the left side of the main entrance on Saturday morning. Meeting time is no later than 6am. We plan to roll over to the track as a group and line up at our assigned location once we get to the infield area. Please be patient with everyone on the way in. It could take a few minutes to get everyone parked. There are a lot of other clubs coming in at the same time. Marty has all of our clubs weekend passes and will hand them out at this meeting location. You will need these passes to gain entry, so don’t forget to meet us.  We usually hand out all of your passes for both days at this time. Each car entry is entitled to two free entry tickets per day. Saturday & Sunday. I have already been contacted by a few members who can only show on Saturday. I understand this is a big committment to be at the track for two full days, and I am willing to accomidate the requests, but we all need to remember that if we don’t fill our spaces, we risk losing them all. There were several car clubs that didn’t get into the event for various reasons, and they can replace us very easily. Leaving early or not showing but on Saturday is frowned upon by the people who run this event. They do count cars at various times during the weekend to track each clubs attendance.  They are under pressure to keep only show quality cars on the field as well. I think we defintely have that part covered. So let’s have some fun this weekend. 

Note: A group of us plan to go up to the Speedway Dining Room for lunch at some point on Saturday. The buffet cost is $22 a person. Get with me or Marty early on Saturday to let one of us know you plan to join us. We have to call them and place our reservations to ensure we can all sit together as a group.

We plan to have 15 paid spaces. Once they have been accounted for we will start a waiting list in case someone has to drop out. Be sure to post a comment that lets us know you plan to attend. The order is first come first serve. Spaces usually fill up fast.
